Scarecrow Spooktacular

Come to Veteran's Park in Downtown Homer and set up a scarecrow that represents your business, club, hobby or family. If you have a business along Historic Hwy 441, feel free to put your scarecrow in front of your business. All scarecrows must be made from recycled or reused items along with wood and straw. Get creative and have fun.  You can use props such as bales of hay, chairs, farm equipment or other items that tie into your scarecrows theme. Feel free to put up a sign letting everyone know that this is your scarecrow. Look for information on how to make a scarecrow online. FOR MORE INFORMATION CALL 706-973-9841.
To enter the contest for judging, fill out the application at www. County website address Date of Setup October 30, 2015 Time 5:30 PM-7:30 PM. While you are setting up your scarecrow you can listen to the music of Sammy Reese and others. Your children can have their faces painted, and Home Depot will be there to help your children create a project that they can take home and they can bounce in the bounce house.  Food and drinks will be provided by various churches and groups.  Free book will be provided by the Banks County Library.   Come have fun while helping start a new Homer tradition.
